“Acting saved my life, but without being to heavy, I also am a firm believer in God and I think that my faith gave me the ability to feel loved when human beings and society were pretty cruel l And if you still feel loved that you are worthy and that you have a right to be here and that you are a child of the universe or a child of God or whatever you want to call it then you feel lucky, you just feel lucky. You dont feel sorry for yourself. You don’t feel bad. You are just like this rocks. Life is actually pretty cool.” Samantha Morton, Happy Sad Confused Podcast August 3rd 2026

Words can not express how blown away I was listening to Samantha Morton on the Happy Sad Confused YouTube Podcast. I had recently watched The Odyssey and wanted to learn more about certain aspects of the film as I am not too familiar with Greek Mythology as a Horror movie fanatic. Listening to her talk about her faith and her walk with the Lord gave me life. Her discussing how she was in the foster system, homelessness and the neglect/disregard she experienced over and over again yet she focused on the love of God instead of the indifference humans is a profound message and must have been difficult to do at times. Yet through her faith, her optimism and light shines. Thank you Samantha for your beautiful testimony.

XOXO,
